Kenji Kobayashi takes over as managing director of Canon Australia and chairman of Canon New Zealand.

Replacing Shuichi Tsukahara, who led Canon Ocerania for seven years, Kobayashi (pictured) will be managing the company's strategic direction and vision for Canon.

No stranger to the company, Kobayashi has worked with Canon for more than two decades and served management positions in the Netherlands, Italy and Japan.

"With the ever-changing face of consumer and business technology, it's important we stay focused on providing our customers with the best service and experience," he said.

Kobayashi remains confident that he can develop Canon further in both Australia and New Zealand, particularly in terms of customer service. "The Australian market presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities, and my experience leading Canon in the Asian market has prepared me well for this role," he said.

"I look forward to joining a team of creative and dedicated professionals, and further growing the Australian market while continuing to deliver outstanding customer experiences."
