Epson's award-winning large format inkjet printers, the Epson Stylus Pro 7900 and 9900 series, have achieved 98%*1 coverage of the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM®, as evaluated and certified by Pantone, LLC.

PANTONE is the definitive international reference for selecting, specifying, matching and controlling ink colours. With the ability to achieve 98% coverage of PANTONE colours, industry professionals using Epson printers have a great deal of freedom when producing designs, proofs, and final images. It also enables designers to accurately reproduce corporate and brand colours and use a wide variety of PANTONE spot colours for stand-out packaging.
The combination of Epson's MicroPiezo TFP™ inkjet technology with Epson's 10-colour UltraChrome® HDR (high dynamic range) inkset in the Epson Stylus Pro 7900 (24 inch) and Pro 9900 (44 inch) printers provides the outstanding performance required by graphic designers and print professionals.
In addition to Black, Cyan, Light Cyan, Vivid Magenta, Yellow, Vivid Light Magenta, Light Black Matte and Light Light Black, Epson UltraChrome™ HDR ink includes Orange and Green ink which significantly increases the range of colours that can be achieved, especially bright green to yellow, and yellow to red.
The Pro printers' ability to achieve the widest colour gamut produces high-quality images showing great subtlety and exceptionally smooth gradations. A unique three-level black ink technology significantly improves the overall grey balance while enhancing the mid-tone and highlight detail, which in turn gives a smoother tonal range. The high-density pigments ensure strong vibrant colours and accurate neutral and dark tones.
